Jesus brings good news to the poor and brokenhearted. He pardons iniquity, frees captives, comforts mourners, and provides for those who grieve. He gives beauty instead of ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of a faint spirit. He gives new life, new hope, a new future. Jesus then works through His rescued ones to rebuild, restore, and renew what sin has devastated for many generations (Isa. 61:1–4). We believe that Jesus is still doing this work today as His Spirit-empowered followers make disciples.
Because of this, our goal is to help followers of Jesus disciple urban youth through life-on-life relationships. Revive exists to provide a context for these relationships to develop.
If you are a follower of Jesus with a heart to invest in urban youth, you can serve at one of three levels:
Program Volunteer
commit to serve at Revive weekly for one-year. Help run program night by helping create a safe, fun, gospel-filled culture through running games, providing transportation, tutoring, teaching, helping make meals, and serving however is needed to run the program
Life-on-Life Mentor
commit to connect with an urban youth at least 1x/week outside of program time. We will provide ongoing coaching and support for you
Mentor Coach
mature believers with experience discipling urban youth who commit to walking alongside other mentors
