Blind Leadership, Blown Leadership, Brilliant Leadership
Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward. Those last two words jumped at me from John 18:1-27 this past Sunday, March 26, 2017. Here, in the darkness of blind leadership and in the failure of blown leadership, brilliant leadership pierces through the night and knocks over those who came to arrest the One who had no guilt. What a good reminder of another aspect of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, He is our Lord and yes, He is our Christ. He is also our Leader. Where Adam shrank behind some trees, Jesus stepped to the forefront to accomplish his Father’s will. If he didn’t come forward to drink the cup that the Father had given him we would have had to drink it. (Psalm 75). Praise God for the obedience and leadership of His Son!
